During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top social apps on the Android platform in Nigeria exhibited notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here's a closer look at the performance of Facebook Lite, TikTok, TikTok Lite - Save Data, Instagram, and Facebook.

Facebook Lite saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from 50.4K in late September and peaking at 80.3K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users fluctuated but remained robust, with numbers hovering around 5.2M to 5.5M throughout the quarter.

TikTok experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 46.4K at the start of the quarter and reaching 89.8K by the end. Weekly revenue showed a slight upward trend, peaking at approximately $7.9K in the final week of December. Active users grew steadily from 1.38M to 1.44M during the same period.

TikTok Lite - Save Data also demonstrated an upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 48.4K and climbing to 59.3K by the end of the quarter. The app's active users increased from 2.52M to 2.64M over the period.

Instagram saw its weekly downloads rise from 39.7K in late September to 59K by the end of December. Weekly revenue for Instagram showed a modest increase, peaking at $114 in early November. The number of active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 4.97M and 5.16M throughout the quarter.
